Strategic improvements for cyclists and pedestrians moving through the area. The scheme involves the formation of new cycle route along the R766 Strand road regional road between Albert Avenue and Putland Road. The overall length of the scheme is approximately 700m and includes provisions to the adjoining side roads with upgrades at Sidmonton Avenue, Convent Avenue and Putland Road.
- Construction of new high quality paved footpaths and a bus landing area
- Construction of new super exposed aggregate cycleway surface with ‘on surface’ signage markings
- Construction of standard concrete shared surface on Putland Road
- Construction of standard bituminous red high friction surfacing for approach to junctions on cycle way
