Ward & Burke are currently seeking to recruit and Community Liaison Officer for the Munster Region. You will be the single point of contact for local community members and groups for our Construction Projects. This will include communicating with and informing communities throughout the project life cycle, gaining insights and feedback from the community, and maintaining open channels of communications with all interested parties.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the Community and Stakeholders while engaging with local communities and individuals in relation to construction projects.
  • Develop an understanding of each local community (influencer’s, active members, community, and social groups) and establish strong relationships within those groups.
  • Draft communications material including brochures, website content, social media etc. as the projects progress.
  • Develop strong long-term relationships with individuals, property owners, individual residents, residents’ associations, local liaison committees, special interest groups, public representatives, and other stakeholders in the local community.
  • Establish the most effective and efficient means of communication with each community through engagement at a local level.
  • Take part in interactive information evenings. Take an active role in all exhibitions, consultations, and group discussions.
  • Handling customer complaints and establishing procedures to deal with complaints.
  • Using the company’s Stakeholder engagement logging tool, maintain records of all engagement.
  • Report all progress and updates on a weekly basis.

Candidate should be strong communicator, confident in speaking to stakeholders.
