To help serve the growing commercial and residential developments in the Fleet area, Ward & Burke were engaged to design and construct a 25m diameter underground storage water tank, which upon completion, would assist in flood relief during storm conditions.
Works involved:
- Design, fabrication and installation of cofferdam 32m diameter 22m deep, and reinforced storage shaft 25m diameter x 18m deep within cofferdam
- Installation of temporary dewatering system by specialist company to help reduce artesian pressures in the underground aquifers
- Construction of Internal 7m shaft within
- Construction of precast roof slabs manufactured at our offsite facility
- Full hydrostatic test on structure
