We are currently hiring a heavy construction plant fitter to join our team in the UK. The candidate will be based out of our new state-of-the-art premises in Ellesmere Port, England. The role will include travelling to various sites across the North of the UK: Manchester, Liverpool, Yorkshire, Lancashire and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge and mechanical expertise to ensure all machinery operates at peak performance.

The candidate for this position will be responsible for:
- Maintaining various construction plant, e.g. Liebherr and Kobelco cranes, Caterpillar and Kobelco excavators, Thwaites site dumpers and various other small plant.
- Scheduling and completing routine inspections and servicing of the plant to ensure high safety and operational standards of all machinery
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults of the plant and carrying out effective repairs.
- Ensure service and repair records are maintained and stored accurately.
- Liaise with site management teams to organise and prioritise repairs with minimal disruption to site works.
- Respond promptly and provide on-site breakdown support.
- Follow all health & safety guidelines and always ensure safe working practices.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have relevant qualifications as a plant fitter.
- Have at least 4 years’ experience in a busy construction plant fitter role.
- In-depth understanding of machinery electrical systems.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with Texa and Factory diagnostic tools would be an advantage, but training can be provided.
- Ability to work at own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to plan and prioritise tasks and adapt to job demands as required.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full clean driving licence (HGV licence desirable).
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental procedures in construction/civil engineering.
