Maintenance Fitter

We are currently hiring a maintenance fitter to cover the Munster and South Leinster areas.

Duties:

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Preventive Maintenance:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment.
• Regularly inspect and maintain mechanical systems to prevent unexpected failures.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and upload them to Geopal.

Fault Finding:

• Conduct thorough fault-finding investigations to identify mechanical issues within systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint the root cause of faults.
• Develop and implement strategies to prevent recurring faults.

Emergency Breakdowns:

• Respond promptly to emergency calls for mechanical issues in the water and wastewater sites notified to you.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimise downtime.
• Implement quick and effective solutions to restore functionality.
• Document changes made during repair work for invoicing and for future reference.

Mechanical Surveys:

• Perform mechanical surveys to assess the condition of existing mechanical systems.
• Identify potential areas for improvement or upgrades.
• Compile detailed reports on survey findings and recommendations.

Testing and Commissioning:

• Conduct comprehensive testing of mechanical systems to verify proper functionality.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines during mechanical work.
• Conduct safety assessments and RAMS to identify potential hazards before starting a job.
• Implement corrective actions to address safety concerns.
